The Sindh Exploration & Adventure Society “SEAS, Pakistan” is registered with Government of Sindh (Directorate of Social Welfare), under No.847, DW-(S)-847 of 1991, with special interest in the safeguarding the heritage of the country. The organization operates on no profit bases, its funds are generated mostly by the donations from its members; the sources of the Society are dedicated to the society and its objectives. The affairs are managed by the Executive Committee of the Society.

Services preserving physical heritage involve the protection, restoration, and maintenance of historic buildings, monuments, artifacts, and sites to ensure cultural and historical assets are safeguarded for future generations.
The Center supports an extensive activity, through its sister organizations, these working at District level involve its members as well as invite intelligential to participate in contributing to the research on assigned areas. The collected papers are published normally through these organizations. Old manuscripts, best complimented with the translations. Form part of the publications, along with the monographs in result of given assignments. The Archaeological Review is a regular publication, reporting generally the activities of the members of SEAS, work of the Center and Archaeological projects related to the region.
The medieval South Asia was different from the modern world we see around us; the cultural values, the physical forms produced, the aesthetics followed were all relevant to the sensibilities of the period, amazingly interesting and curious. The intelligent observer finds reasons to look for the material, which can help build the bridges across the centuries for better understanding.Thatta was a prosperous trading center, supported by a very busy port, linking it with a highly cultured middle and near east. Makli a necessary corollary of the Thatta town has preserved a small but exceedingly picturesque part of the culture of Thatta. It is the funerary art of the town that has put Thatta under limelight.One of the largest Muslim necropolis in Asia and Africa it has all the potentials to present picture of a late medieval town with a developed crafts tradition, a flourishing production base, a vibrant society, welcoming novel architectural trends, wide maritime trade and love for arts and literature.The present study is only comprehensive documentation available, to capture the essence and spirit of the epigraphy of the World Heritage Makli. It provides modern reading to the paleography of the medieval period, backed up by analytical study of material it contains, whether sacred or funerary, supported by comprehensive indexes to help utilize all encompassing text.A work of an eminent scholar and expert of the field it opens up many possibilities for further probe and study of the past of Thatta-Makli.

Sibi Fort, also known as Chakar Fort, is a historical fort in Sibi, Balochistan, Pakistan. It has been ruled by various dynasties over the centuries, including the Sewas, Brahmans, Arabs, Ghaznavids, and Mughals.
A DOCUMENTATION SURVEY OF Kharan FORT
Azad Khan built 11 forts, including the two largest, Karez Fort and Kharan Fort. The smaller forts were built on hilltops to monitor the landscape. Both Karez and Kharan Forts are made of mud and small bricks, and have four wells, three ration stores, and tunnels connecting the first and second floors.
